Admissions

Pupils are admitted between the ages of 3 and 11 years. The majority of pupils are Catholics. However children from families of other faiths, who are sympathetic to our ethos and values, also receive a warm welcome.

The process for admission to our school is as follows:

• When you contact us (Telephone 0208 660 3351 or email enquiries@lalehamlea.co.uk) We will send you a prospectus.
• At the same time we will invite you to contact the school secretary to arrange to visit our school and meet the teachers, children and headteacher.
• Subsequent to the visit, if you wish to make an application we would ask you to fill out the application form which should be accompanied by a £40 registration fee (refundable in lieu of fees, on taking up a place).
• We would then invite your child to spend a morning/day with us to ensure we can meet their needs. Key Stage 2 children may be given a formal test.
• We ask at this time that you provide all relevant information from your child's previous schools in order that we can provide the best possible start to your child's education here. Failure to disclose information may be prejudicial to your child's stay at Laleham Lea.
• Parents will then be formally offered, by letter, a place. As is common in many schools, priority of places will be given to those parents who can give assurances that their child will remain in our school for their entire primary years.
• Parents are then asked to notify us in writing of their formal acceptance.

Fees

We strive, at Laleham Lea School, to keep our fees at a reasonable and competitive level; they are set each Spring Term, by our governors. Parents will be notified in the Summer Term of any increase for the following academic year.

Fees are payable before the beginning of each term and the current rate is £1,775 per term. The fees include tuition, stationery, books and equipment. They also include all lunchtime and most after school clubs. One term's notice in writing is required for any pupil leaving the school; otherwise a full term's fees will be charged. There are a variety of ways to pay our fees. Please contact our bursar (Mr. M. Drury) for details.

It should be noted that parents are offered a 40% reduction for the third child; when three children are receiving education at Laleham Lea.

The governors review our Fees and their structure annually. We always seek to be fair, comparatively competitive and to improve them in any way that is practicable: therefore from September 2008 it should be noted that parents will be offered a 40% reduction in fees for their third child and any subsequent children all currently receiving education at Laleham Lea School.
